Seattle is where every facet of Washington comes together in a beautiful display of cultural diversity. Welcome to the place where mankind’s tallest engineering marvels are dwarfed by the awe-inspiring structures of Mother Nature. Mount Rainier constantly rests along the clouds to the southeast as a reminder of the incredible wonders found around the world as residents relax with the assistance of stress-free, modern conveniences.

 

Wonders like Mount Rainier have been inspiring minds for thousands of years. Ever since Native American peoples first stepped foot here, mankind’s history with Washington has been a fascinating one, from the first European explorations to the construction of the state’s first cities. Much of this history can be felt right here in Seattle, and many of the remnants of these historical events can be found here in Seattle as well.

 

It’s hard to imagine this sprawling metropolis wasn’t always this big. Confusingly, the first name for the city was actually New York. Eventually it was renamed “Seattle” after the local Chief, Noah Sealth. The logging and shipping industries helped build the community. Seattle is as fascinating as it is gorgeous, and if you’re as interested as we are, we highly recommend heading to one of the city’s many local museums like the Museum of History & Industry to take a trip down memory lane and learn even more.

The people in Seattle are as lovely as the crystal-blue waters of Elliott Bay or the white, snowy slopes of Mount Rainier. No matter what you’re doing, you’re sure to encounter several of our community’s friendly faces. You can enjoy yourself, be yourself, and know you’re ok. So, whether you’re sitting down at the Capital Grille or peering over the edge of the Space Needle, you can feel as though every stretch of Seattle is a place to call home.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Well, you can’t adventure far on an empty stomach. First up, there’s The Pink Door, where a menu of seafood and pasta blends wonderfully with a comforting and pleasant atmosphere. Next, there’s the Capital Grille for a quality fine dining experience. On the other hand, the folks at Shaker + Spear specialize in amazing seafood and burgers. Then there’s our personal favorite, Canlis for gourmet meals and an incredible view.

Things to Do

There’s no shortage of fun places to spend your days. One example is the Pike Place Market where residents can sit down for a meal with a friend or purchase an assortment of fresh ingredients to bring home.

 

Elliot Bay, as previously mentioned, is a lovely spot to fish or coast along, soaking up the sun. Next, there’s the Museum of Pop Culture for those looking to immerse themselves in a wealth of artistic expressions.

 

Of course, we couldn’t go without mentioning the Space Needle. After one look, you just know you have to check it out. We’ve barely even scratched the surface. There are thousands of places to enjoy yourself in Seattle. Come and find your favorite spot.
